Leachville PEO Christmas project

Leachville PEO members and volunteers prepare Christmas boxes.
Members of the Leachville Chapter AC, PEO helped make Christmas better for 18 local families giving food items for a Christmas dinner, toys, and other gifts.

Project chairman Sharon Hitt said local merchants and individuals donated to the project.

"The outpouring of generosity and sharing has been wonderful," Hitt said. "We purchased everything we could locally. This is a project we do out of caring for our community. We appreciate everyone who gave."

Several of the PEO members husbands volunteered to help boxing the items and delivery. Plans are to deliver the boxes on Tuesday, Dec. 18.
