It took 60 pounds of flour, 36 dozen eggs, 120 pounds of bacon, 80 pounds of sausage and 90 bottles of syrup to serve 1,800 pancakes to the large crowd attending the Manila Lion Club pancake supper. Approximately 800 people attended the supper.

The Lions cooked pancakes starting at 5 p.m. at the school cafeteria and continued serving pancakes throughout the evening following the Manila Christmas parade.

Members of the Manila High School Leo Club helped serve the pancakes.

The Lions pancake supper is a Christmas tradition that kicks off the season each year. Proceeds from the supper are used to help with the Goodfellow baskets distributed. Last year the Lions delivered 100 baskets.

This year the food baskets will be delivered on Dec. 24.

Members of the Lions Club expressed their appreciation to everyone who participated and helped make the event a success.
