Bobby Wayne Wright, 66, of Corpus Christie, Texas, passed from this life at his home in Corpus Christie, Nov. 12, 2012. He was born in Leachville on Dec. 11, 1945, to Helen R. Wright and Robert Adams. He grew up in Leachville and was a 1964 graduate of Leachville High School. Bobby served in the U.S. Navy and worked at the Pentagon in Naval Communications for several years. Later, for many years he owned and operated a construction business in the Washington, D.C., area. He returned to Arkansas and lived in Jonesboro for several years continuing his construction business. In 1981, education and job opportunity moved him and his wife to Corpus Christie, Texas. Continually striving for more education, he attended Delmar College, specializing in computers, while working as the Section 8 housing inspector for Corpus Christie. Retired from his computer business he and his recently retired wife planned to enjoy a slower life together.

Bobby was an avid animal lover and was well known for his rescue of his furry friends, always seeking to find them good homes. He was also well known and loved for his generosity to family, friends and many others, never turning his back on anyone in need, always there with a helping hand.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Marilyn Wright, of the home; a sister, Mary Vore and husband James of Cardwell, Mo.; two nephews, who were his pride and joy, Nicholas Vore of Cardwell, Mo., and Chad Vore of Jonesboro.

A memorial service with viewing was held from 2-9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, at Saxet Funeral Home in Corpus Christie, Texas. To honor his life, a celebration of his life was held at 7 p.m. by his family and friends together sharing their wonderful memories of Bobby. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Private burial will be in the Leachville Cemetery in Leachville.
