The workshop, sponsored by Tenaris, assembled representatives from technical schools and Tenaris plants from around the world. Individuals from Romania, Sweden, Holland, Italy, Columbia, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, the United States, and Argentina met to discuss best practices in technical education.
A technical high school is being built in Campana by the Tenaris company.
Bennett will attend a workshop in Chile this month to present a program relating the advances in technical education and teaching practices at Arkansas Northeastern College.
Technical skills programs are currently taught at the ANC Burdette Center, the ANC Harry L. Crisp Center in Blytheville, and the ANC Aircraft and Metals Engineering Center in Blytheville.
