Buffalo Island Central School Board
Buffalo Island Central School Board members heard from architect Andrew Hicks to discuss qualifications and future construction plans for the district at the Nov. 12 meeting.
All board members were present except Todd Edwards and Darrin McFall. The meeting was called to order by John Field, vice president.
The board voted unanimously to accept the resignation of Sheila McFarland, custodian-West.
The board voted unanimously to hire Tina Russell as custodian-West and Christy Cook- West cafeteria.
Following the approval of the October minutes and review of the financial statements and warrant listings, Jason Stewart moved to renew the district's business trip accidental death and dismemberment policy for all school personnel.
The district's current technology inventory was discussed.
Todd Edwards was appointed to serve as board delegate at the ASBA Del3gate Assembly in Little Rock, Dec. 5.
The board approved the transfer of Ella, 7, Haley, 6, and Alyssa Harvey, 4, to the Manila District. These students have always attended Manila.
The board directed Superintendent George Edd Holland to check references and view construction projects where Mr. Hicks had served as architect.
