Born at Cash, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Roscoe Anthony and Edyth Skidmore Gilpatrick and was a 1959 graduate of Leachville High School. Raised in Leachville, she had lived much of her life in Cahokia and was a retired secretary. She was a member of the Pentecostal Lighthouse in Hornersville, Mo.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie Richards.
Survivors include three sons, Tony Davis of Cahokia, Ill., Casey Tibbs of Cahokia, Ill., and Christopher Tibbs of Wyoming; one daughter, Laura Joan Allen of Dupo, Ill.; three sisters, Dora Biggerstaff and Deloras Austin, both of Leachville, and Dola Henderson of Atkins, Ark. She also leaves five grandchildren.
Graveside funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at the Leachville Cemetery with Alan Austin officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville.
The family will receive visitors Tuesday from noon until service time at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville.
