Leachville Senior Citizens enjoy Halloween fun

Leachville Senior Citizens enjoyed Halloween fun as they competed for the best costume contest.

Emcee Amanda Blair introduced all characters and told a little about them. David Beigle asked contestants a question as they were judged on their personalities as well as their costumes. Questions were drawn from a pumpkin and each contestant had some very unique answers.

Judges gave each contestant a ribbon with the overall best costume award going to Witch Hazel (Louise Williams).

Ruby Cole received the best country bumpkin award as Granny.

Dora Biggerstaff, Fairest in the Land, received the scariest hair and teeth ribbon.

Francis Hueter, Vampire, received a ribbon for the most dramatic blood sucker.

JoAnn Cardin as Mamma Harper received the best celebrity and overall effort ribbon.

Reba Jones received the most sexy ribbon for her Gypsy Rose character.

Brenda Lafoon received the best floor show ribbon for her Walking Dead character.

Imogene Roberts, The Butterfly Lady, was awarded the friendliest character.

Nadine Ballard, Hagatha, received the best broom rider award.

Crick Keith, the Trash Bag Lady, received the most flashy, creative costume ribbon.

Francis Warren, the Red Neck Cutie, was the best dressed grand mummy.

Cheryl Clark, Dracula's Bride, received the most real lifelike ribbon and Larry Stone, Dracula, received the best male costume.

Following the costume parade and contest, lunch was served.
