Area parade dates announced

Leachville

Leachville Christmas parade has been set for 6:30 Saturday, Nov. 24. Following the parade open house will be held at the Melody Theater with refreshments and pictures with Santa.

There will be cash prizes for first ($150), second ($100) and third ($50) place. All entries are due by Wednesday, Nov. 21.

Caraway

The annual Caraway Christmas Parade will be held Saturday, Dec. 1. The event is sponsored by the Caraway Lions Club.

Line-up will begin at 5 p.m. at City Hall and the parade will begin at 6 p.m.

Manila

Manila Christmas Parade, "A Patriotic Christmas" will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. All veterans will be honored and are encouraged to be special guests. The oldest veterans will serve as grand marshal. In case of inclement weather, the alternate date will be Monday, Dec. 3. For more information persons may call Manila City Hall at 561-4437.

All qualifying floats will receive a cash gift.

Monette

The Monette Christmas Parade will be held on Monday, Dec. 3. Line up will be held starting at 5:30 p.m. at the American Legion Building. Judging will be held at 6:30 p.m. and the parade will begin at 7 p.m. For more information contact Kay Staggs at (870) 664-0196.

Lake City

Lake City Christmas parade will be held Saturday, Dec. 8. Line up will be 4:45 to 5:45 at the ballpark. The parade will begin at 6 p.m. for more information contact Renee Chamness (870) 761-1628. Everyone is welcome and there is no entry fee.
