Coach Wimberly has coached at Wynne and Cabot. He has 11 years of experience. He talked about his team and his style of coaching. He said he is looking forward to the season.

"We play at BIC on Tuesday and Riverside here on Friday," he said. "Both teams have eight or nine games on us, but that is just part of it. There are five good teams in our conference. Our kids want to win a conference championship."

Coach Manchester has 14 years of experience and said he is excited to be at Manila. He has been at Walnut Ridge, Rector and Bay.

"Basketball in Northeast Arkansas is like Texas football," he said. "This area loves the game. I encourage you to come out and watch our kids play. We play hard. Are we going to win every one? We are going to try."

Lion Terry Carr announced a barbecue sale will benefit the boys basketball program. Carr will be grilling pork loin and ribs. Orders need to be in on Nov. 5 and orders can be picked up from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 10.

Lion Danny Robbins reminded everyone of the pancake supper set for Dec. 1.

The Lions discussed the Christmas baskets and the delivery.
