Brenda Sue Guge

Brenda Sue Guge, 57, of Leachville, passed from this life, Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at her home. Born in St. Louis, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Vondella Tinsley Guge and was a former resident of Granite City, Ill. She had been a Leachville resident for the past 40 years and was a retired truck driver. Brenda was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her daughter, Monica Edgin of Leachville; her father and stepmother, Sam Guge, Sr. and his wife Sandy of Caseyville, Ill.; one brother, Sam Guge, Jr. of Leachville; two sisters, Karen Ballard and Lucy Guge, both of Granite City, Ill.;

and four grandchildren, Britany Thacker, Kristina Thacker, Breanna Thacker, and Rachael Thacker.

Funeral service was at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Lee Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery. The family received visitors Monday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home.
