Beverly Berry Hampton, 60, of Farmington, Ark., passed away Oct.

19, 2012, at her residence. She died peacefully in her sleep due to heart failure. Beverly was born in Jonesboro on April 1, 1952 and was raised in Monette. Over her lifetime, she lived in Jonesboro, Jacksonville, North Little Rock and Northwest Arkansas. She was a 1969 graduate of Monette High School and worked for many years managing bookstores and later as a makeup consultant with Estee Lauder. She retired in 2008 for health reasons. Beverly was a voracious reader and her favorite book was her well worn Bible that she was studying when she last fell to sleep. With a vivacious personality, Beverly had many many friends who would agree, "If you knew Beverly, you loved her."

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe "Monk" and Ola Berry, of Monette, and a sister Ann Green.

She is survived by her daughter, Sara Hampton, her granddaughter Sidney Moore, and Larry Hampton, all of the home; her daughter, Jennifer Larson of Indiana; and her sisters, Patty Day of North Little Rock and June Merriman of Las Vegas.

The family will receive friends at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette, with memorial services with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating starting at 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Jonesboro Public Library in her name.
