Manila Nursing Center has been recognized and received one of 404 Bronze Awards for 2012 from long term facilities across the nation. The National Quality Award is given by the AHCA/NCAL, to recipient-facilities that have demonstrated a dedication to their residents. Of the 404 Bronze Awards, a total of fix facilities from Arkansas were chosen, Manila Nursing Center being one of them. There were 52 Silver Award recipients and two Golden Award recipients.

This year's event was held in Tampa, Fla., and Administrator Shari Doty, along with Director of Nursing Service Regina Hatch, and Speech Therapist Briley Singleton with Incite Rehab, attended the event to represent and accept the Bronze Award on Oct. 10.

John Stepahin, chairman of AHCA's National Quality Award Board of Overseers, stated concerning the awards, "The program's rigorous criteria demonstrate these facilites' dedication, innovation and passion for what they do every day---caring for the frail, elderly, and disabled."

In being recognized and selected for the Bronze Award, administrator Doty had this to say, "We are so honored to receive this national award. The staff at MNC has made it possible for this facility to receive the honors that we have received lately. We have some of the most dedicated and compassionate staff working at this facility, and we are so grateful. They make a difference in our residents lives each day."
