Allenberg is the top cotton distribution company in the nation and was founded in 1921. The company is based in Cordova, Tenn., with additional offices and agencies in Texas, North Carolina, Switzerland, China, Paraguay, India, Buenos Aires, and Brazil. They have warehousing facilities in Memphis, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
Twelve guests visited Tuesday, Oct. 9, on the farm of Genevieve Lane, which is farmed by Allen Dewitt. Ten employees toured the farm of Gale Yates and Doris Yates Berry of Delfore, also farmed by Dewitt.
Allenberg employees took turns riding the John Deere round bale cotton picker in the cotton fields and then toured the Kiech Gin to watch the cotton being processed.
