Book signing secheduled at Lake City Museum

Sunday, October 21, 2012

On Saturday, Nov. 17, the Lake City Museum will be hosting a book signing for a book published by a former Lake City resident. Linda "Dunlap" Hulen has written a fictional Christian book that is based upon her childhood memories of growing up in Lake City. The book, "Her Final Gift," is based upon her mother's early death from cancer and how her "final gift" was her 11 month old daughter. The story continues with how the entire community helps the family in the raising of the child and how the father pulls support from family, friends, and church members to help him. The setting is Lake City and should prove to be a good read (especially for those of us who are small town residents). Mrs. Hulen now lives in Virginia but continually travels home to revisit her "roots" and visit those lifelong friends made long ago. The book signing will be on Saturday, November 17th at the Lake City Museum from 1:00 until 4:00. Everyone is invited to come meet and visit with the author. The book will be for sale on that date for $15.00.
