Manila Nursing Center receives the Governors' Quality Awards

Manila Nursing Center was among 17 Arkansas organizations from across the state to receive the prestigious Governor's Quality Award, presented by Governor Mike Beebe Sept. 24.

The organizations are made up of medical centers, medical clinics, delivery systems and long-term care facilities. The 18th Annual Awards Celebration for the Governor's Quality Award Program was held at the Peabody Little Rock, and recognized the organizations for continuous quality improvement leading to excellence.

Manila Nursing Center was among those receiving the Challenge Level Award. Shari Doty, Administrator, and Regina Hatch, Director Nursing Service, both of MNC, accepted the award for the Manila Nursing Center.

About the award Doty stated, "I am so proud that our facility received this award. It is a direct reflection of the dedicated staff that works at Manila Nursing Center and the excellent care they provide to our residents. It is such an honor to be recognized with the Governor's Quality Award."

Doty and Hatch will travel to Tampa, Fla., Oct 7-10, for the 63 Annual Convention & Exposition of the American Health Care Association's awards ceremonies. MNC has been recognized as a Bronze Award recipient of the National Quality Award presented by the association.
