Ryan Stuck and Jacob Sanders, BIC golfers.

Buffalo Island Central sophomore Ryan Stuck fired a round of 89 to finish 13th in the Class 2A State Golf Tournament last week at the Chamberlain Country Club in Danville. Stuck finished just two spots shy of making All-State.

"Ryan had a great tournament. He just missed making All-State," said Mustang Coach Cary Cossey. "He really played well. There were 70 golfers competing, and the top 15 percent make All-State, which ended up being the top 11. But it was an excellent performance."

Junior Jacob Sanders shot a 100 and finished 25th. "Jacob also played very well," said Cossey. "Our future looks bright with both of these kids returning. I am very proud of both of them. They both had an excellent year and the experience was good for them. I think we have a lot to look forward to."

Manila's Scott Eubanks competed in the 3A State Tournament at Cooper's Hawk Country Club in Melbourne. Eubanks finished with a round of 114 for the tournament.
