Manila to be under boil order

Tuesday, August 21, 2012
Manila city workers work on water leak.

Manila Mayor Wayne Wagner announced the city water will be shut down at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 22, for four to five hours for a leak repair. Water should be back on by 8-9 p.m. Wednesday. Due to the water shut-down, the city will be under a boil order for two days. The boil order will be in effect from Wednesday night through Friday night.

Manila Water Superintendent Henry Ford said the workers tried to fix the leak without a shutdown but were not able to complete the repair.
