Brian Keith Borden, Jr., 19, of Manila, passed from this life, Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at the Methodist Hospital in Memphis. Born at Blytheville, he was a lifelong area resident and a 2011 graduate of Manila High School. Brian excelled in all sports but his passion was football. He wore the number 3 jersey for the football Lions, playing running back, wide receiver, punt returner and kick returner. Brian was currently a sophomore at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville.
Survivors include his parents, father Brian Keith Borden, Sr. of Keiser and mother and stepfather, Mary and John Sipes of Manila; grandparents, Paul G. Borden of Etowah and
Amos and Debbie Lancaster of Manila; one brother, Keith Wesley "Peewee" Arzo Sipes of Manila; 3 sisters, Addison Nicole Borden, Alexis Marie Borden and Holly LeAnn Borden, all of Keiser.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Manila with Rev. David Fair officiating. Burial will follow in Garden Point Cemetery at Etowah under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 Wednesday evening at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila.
