Manila Dollar General holds Grand Opening

Grand opening was held Saturday at the Manila Dollar General new location. Gift cards were given to the first 50 customers; there were drawings for prizes; and refreshments. Customers were in line when the doors opened and the first 50 customers were in within five minutes.

Store manager Linda Smith expressed her appreciation to local businesses who gave prize items, Ju Ju Cakes who made cupcakes to be given away during the grand opening and Pepsi for giving soft drinks throughout the day.

Mark Fagan, district manager, was in Manila for the grand opening and he joined Smith in expressing his appreciation for a successful turnout.

Smith said they also have a donation box for the Southworth back to school back pack project.
