Wilma McDonald Andrews

Wilma McDonald Andrews, 85, of Memphis, former longtime Leachville resident and widow of Mr. Louis McDonald, passed from this life Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at the Gallaway Nursing Center in Gallaway, Tenn. Born and raised in Leachville, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Alburta Knight Baledge and had also lived in Paragould and West Memphis. She moved to Memphis 15 years ago and was a member of the Wells Station Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by her second husband, Herbert F. Andrews, and a brother, Billy James Baledge.

Survivors include one son, Michael McDonald of Bowling Green, Ky.; one daughter and son-in-law, Judy and William Persell of Arlington, Tenn.; one stepson, Dennis Andrews of Houston, Tex.; one stepdaughter, Sheila Graham of Pontotoc, Miss.;

She also leaves 2 grandchildren; Wes Persell and his wife, Shannon, and Courtney two great-grandchildren, Parker and Miles Persell.

Funeral service were 11 a.m. Saturday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Danny Berryhill officiating. Burial followed in Leachville Cemetery.

The family received visitors Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time.
