We found it!
The first cotton bloom reported to the Town Crier was found on the Jackson Brothers Farms -- father, Ricky, and sons Rusty and Hunter Jackson. Jackson Brothers Farms is located at Milligan Ridge. The cotton bloom was found directly behind their farm shop on June 18. The Stoneville 5458 was planted on irrigated land April 15. Pictured with the cotton bloom are Roe Drew Jackson, one-year-old son of Rusty and Shelly Jackson, and Reese Jackson, nine-month-old daughter of Hunter and Megan Jackson. (photo provided)
