Maxine Kathleen Rowley, 83, of Leachville, passed from this life, Sunday, June 24, 2012, at Monette Manor Nursing Center. Born at Ravenden, she was the daughter of the late R.G. and Lena Harris Perry and the widow of Donald Rowley. She was raised in the Manila area and had lived in Florida and Michigan before returning to Northeast Arkansas seven years ago. She loved traveling in her motorhome, especially with her grandkids, nieces and nephews. Maxine was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bud Perry and Gerald Perry, and an infant sister.
Survivors include a son, Dan Johnson of Linden, Mich.; a granddaughter, Lisa Mangrum of Atlanta, Ga.; a grandson, Mark Johnson of Linden, Mich.; a brother, Bill Perry of Leachville; two sisters, Imogene Perry Powell of Lennon, Mich., and Pauline Perry Ware of Manila; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Lee Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
