Manila School Board accepts resignations and fills positions
Members of the Manila School Board met in a special meeting Tuesday, June 5, for an educational meeting, followed by an interview for a girls coach candidate, acceptance of several resignations, and filling two positions.
Following an executive session, the board accepted the resignations of Sara Pemberton, high school teacher; Steven Milligan, coach and teacher; Karen Miller, elementary special education teacher; and LouAnn Hilligrass, nurse. Mike Bridges resigned his duties as golf coach and athletic director, and Jeff Priest resigned his duties as head girls basketball coach.
Members of the board present were President Tracey Reinhart, Danny Robbins, Tommy Wagner, Brandon Veach and Johnny McCain.
The board voted unanimously to accept Superintendent Pam Castor's recommendation to hire Tracy Bohannan as special education teacher and Mark Manchester as girls basketball coach.
The regular June board meeting has been changed to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 28. The meetings are held in the administration building.
