Artie Irene Earnhart, 85, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012 at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born May 23, 1927, in Sallisaw, Okla., to the late Samuel and Minnie Andrews. Mrs. Earnhart lived most of her life in Black Oak and was a homemaker and retired employee of Basler Electric in Caraway, member of the Black Oak Extension Homemakers Club and Black Oak Baptist Church. She loved crafting, crocheting, reading, loved to bake for her church family and friends and was very active in her church.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Lynn Arlene and Brian Nutt of Hampton and Allen and Judy Earnhart Jr. of Piggott; a son-in-law Rick Ewing of Kennewick, Wash.; two sisters, Mildred Carter of Marshfield, Mo., and Anna Fay Crow of Kokomo, Ind.; three brothers, Jim Andrews of Kokomo, Bob Andrews of Mountain Home and Charles Mack Andrews of Kokomo; six grandchildren, Kim Schauss, Chris Glidewell, Ian Glidewell, John Glidewell, Sam Nutt and Bryan Ewing; five great-grandsons and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Allen "Junior" Earnhart; a daughter, Carolyn Irene Ewing; a sister, Doris McCoy; three brothers, Verden Andrews, Frank Andrews and Erby Andrews, and a great-grandchild.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, at the Black Oak First Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, at the church.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Robert Chambers, Robert Wilde, Jim Hemminger, Johnny Hemminger, Scott McLaughlin, Ryan Russell and Ronnie Lehman, and as honorary pallbearers the men of the Black Oak First Baptist Church.
