Memorial Day ceremony set in Manila

The Herman Davis American Legion Post 197 will present a POW/MIA Memorial Ceremony at 11 a.m. Memorial Day, May 28, at the Herman Davis Memorial State Park/Monument.

The presentation will highlight the sacrifices made by the military with a special emphasis on POWs and MIAs.

Legion Commander Grady Willmuth will present the POW/MIA portion of the program. Guest speaker will be Terry Selby of Jonesboro.

The public is invited to join with Manila's Legion members to honor its heroes. A special invitation is extended to all military personnel and their families.

A light lunch will follow the ceremony.

The Manila Depot Museum will be open for tours following the lunch.
