Manila Nursing Center recognizes staff

Manila Nursing Center recognized two of its professional staff members, Penny White and Angela Shipley, in celebration of Administrative and Healthcare Administrative Professionals Week. The two were recently treated with a special luncheon and gifts from the nursing center in addition to the recognition.

Penny White is the business office manager and admission coordinator, having worked at MNC for almost seven years. She brings with her expertise 28 years of experience in the long-term healthcare field. Her duties include admissions of new residents and interacting with their families in familiarizing them with the facility and answering any questions they might have. She also handles patient trusts and accounts receivable. She is always a very busy lady, and she describes her job as one that is with her 24 hours, and she is always thinking about her job and the residents.

Angela Shipley is the facility's personnel director and medical records director. She implements orientation of new employees along with keeping up their individual staff records for the center. She is also responsible for the medical records, which is a highly important area for continuing resident care and maintenance. Ms. Shipley has been with MNC for 10 years and describes her job as rewarding and enjoyable.

Penny and Angela look forward to many more years of service to the residents of Manila Nursing Center.
