Cornish accepts DON position at Monette Manor

Gina Cornish, RN, is the new director of nursing (DON) at Monette Manor. She started working as charge nurse Jan. 27, 2010, at Monette Manor. She served in the position of assistant director of nursing since Dec. 20, 2011, and accepted the position of DON on April 18.

"Gina is a wonderful person and employee, Marla Layne, administrator, said. "She is very caring, considerate and a great member to add to the Monette Manor team."

Gina is married to Tony Cornish. Their children are daughters, Jessica Majors of Jonesboro; Jenny Majors of the home; Kim Cantrell of Alabama; Holly Boyett of Alabama; and a son, Matt Cornish of Monette. They also have five grandchildren.

Cornish enjoys crafts, motorcycle trips and spending time with the grandbabies.

"Monette Manor is a wonderful home," she said. "All staff takes pride in our residents."
