The Natural Fiber again featured with a 2012 Sew With Cotton Contest

Tuesday, April 10, 2012

Cotton, the natural fiber produced on thousands of acres in Mississippi County, will again be featured in a Sew With Cotton Contest this year. The event will take place at the annual meeting of the Arkansas Farm Bureau on Nov. 29 in Little Rock, reports Sherry Felts, Women's chairperson.

The contest consists of both adult and youth divisions. Also there is a special category open to both adults and youth. In this category the participants must enter a garment or ensemble that was constructed for another individual. Only one garment may be entered in the state contest by the same individual.

Mississippi County Farm Bureau supports this event and will pay most expenses for two to three participants from the county. Individuals interested should contact the office in Osceola 563-6561 or Blytheville 763-7822 and request the 2012 Sew With Cotton Contest booklet.
