Alice Faye Hodges

Alice Faye Hodges, 70, of Leachville, Ark., died Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at her residence after a brave battle with cancer. Born March 6, 1942, in Leachville, she was the daughter of Vester and Frances Myracle Patton and had been a long-time area resident. Mrs. Hodges was a member of the New Providence Baptist Church in Buckeye, Ark., and owned Hodges Pecan Cracking in rural Leachville. She enjoyed the kids at church, doing crafts and spending time with her grandson.

She is survived by her husband, Darryl Hodges of the home; one son, William Aven Hodges of Paragould, Ark.; one grandson, Kyle Hodges of Paragould; her mother, Frances Patton of Monette, Ark.; one brother, William Patton of Versailles, Mo.; one sister, Linda Drury of Tupelo, Miss. Mrs. Hodges also leaves a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Vester Patton; one son, Ross Hodges; and two brothers, Henry Patton and Franklin Patton.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 6, at the New Providence Baptist Church in Buckeye with Rev. Allan Glass officiating. Burial followed in the Leachville Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Ark.

The family received visitors Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of service at the church.
