Matt Mills' Cougars came out on fire, raining three's, including four in the opening quarter of play to grab an 18-9 lead heading into the second stanza. Rector increased its lead to 31-15 at the half, but BIC battled back behind the three point shooting of senior Logan Dewitt, who hit three treys as the Mustangs cut the Cougar lead to 10 points midway through the third quarter. Rector halted the BIC rally and took a 43-31 advantage into the final period of play. The Cougars pulled away in the fourth quarter to claim the 17 point win.
BIC was led by Dewitt, who closed out his home career with a team high 13 points. Dilynn Strickland also hit double digits, scoring 12 points. Wes Colbert and Nick Bollinger scored four points apiece, Alex Field and Jacob Sanders netted three each while Jeremy Smith finished with two points. BIC hit eight of 14 fouls shots and hit five treys on the night.
Mitchell Weber led Rector with 13 points while Daniel White and Brandon Stephens added 11 and 10 points respectively.
"I thought our seniors did a great job of battling tonight," said BIC Coach Garrett Eoff. "We shot it well in spurts. When we finally got our rhythm down, we made a pretty good run at them in the third quarter. These seniors have been around since I got here. I couldn't be prouder of a bunch of young men, the amount of heart they have and what they have put into this. It makes me real proud to be their coach."

The win improves BIC's record to 18-10 overall and 10-5 in conference action.
Garrett Buck paced the Cougars with 12 points while Lawson Ford added 11. Rector made two of five foul shots and hit two treys.
The Mustangs held a 15-11 lead after the opening period of play and took a 24-15 advantage into the dressing room at the half. Rector cut the lead to 30-25 after three quarters, but BIC outscored the Cougars 15-11 in the final frame to hang on for the victory.
