Zach Crisler and Range Weeks drilled two treys each in the first quarter as the Bobcats built a 22-12 first period lead. Walnut Ridge continued to up its lead in the second stanza, taking a 39-20 advantage into the dressing room at the half. Matthew Cox added 13 points for Walnut Ridge, who evened its record at 8-8 overall and 5-5 in the 2A-3 conference.
Brandon Lairsey led BIC with 14 points while Jeremy Smith added 11.
Austin Pike led BIC with eight points, Tyler Myers tallied seven, Johnathan Mondragon scored six, Jerry Cazares netted five, Alan Carmichael contributed three while Ryan Austin and Hunter Costner added two points apiece. Lane Crites tallied one point to round on the Mustang scoring attack.
BIC will return to action Tuesday night when they play host to Cross County. The Mustangs will close the week Friday night with a trip to Lepanto to face East Poinsett County.
