Cities receive GIF monies

State Representative Homer Lenderman presented six Northeast Arkansas cities checks for $2,512 from the state surplus in General Improvement Funds. The presentation was made earlier in December in Monette.

Representing their communities and accepting the funds were Monette Mayor Chub Qualls, Brookland Mayor Kenneth Jones, Bay Mayor Darrel Kirby, Lake City Mayor Jon Milligan, and Peggy Williams from Black Oak, and Caraway City Recorder Rick Stevens.
