The Greyhounds jumped to a 13-6 lead after the first quarter as Morgan Hawley and Derrick Donnell scored 10 of Marmaduke's points. The Rebels had trouble scoring on the stifling Greyhound defense and trailed 22-13 at the half.
Marmaduke continued to build its advantage in the third quarter, leading by as many as 17 points, 40-23, at the 3:01 mark, before the Rebels cut the margin to 40-27 entering the final frame. But the fourth quarter belonged to the Greyhounds, as Marmaduke outscored Riverside 11-4 to claim the 20 point win.
Alteeno Sain led Riverside with 10 points, including a thunderous dunk to end the third period. Logan Meurer tallied eight, Caleb Waugh netted four, Dylan Wright scored three while Morgan Fletcher, Brock Adams and Michael George added two points apiece for the Rebels.
Riverside will return to action Tuesday, Jan. 3, when they play host to East Poinsett County in a2A-3 conference game at Caraway.
