Buffalo Island Central swept a pair of 2A-3 conference games last week in senior girls action, defeating Maynard 73-40 Monday night and Riverside 64-33 Thursday night.
The Lady Mustangs were led by Brittany Fowler, who scored 17 points in their win over Maynard. Callie Brooks and Emily Owens also hit double digits, scoring 13 and 12 points respectively. Brittany Stockton netted nine, Cassidy Qualls tallied eight, Katelyn Sparkman scored four, Kaylee Greathouse and Cidnie Brooks contributed three points apiece while Rachel Goldammer and Jodiee Clay added two points each.
Fowler scored 15 points to lead BIC past Riverside. Qualls and Cidnie Brooks had eight points apiece, Callie Brooks and Taylor McKuin tallied seven points apiece, Stockton and Sparkman netted five points apiece while Owens contributed four. Goldammer added three points while Clay pitched in two to round out the Lady Mustang scoring attack.
Rebekah Frayer led Riverside with a game high 19 points. Kenzley Wilson scored seven, Tara Campbell tallied four, Catlyn Sailor added two while Anna Brickell contributed one point.
The Lady Mustangs will return to action Monday night when they travel to Walnut Ridge while Riverside will journey to Black Rock to take on the Lady Zebras, also on Monday night.
