Martha Inez Mattox, 58, of Trumann, Ark., died Oct. 27, 2011, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Ark. Born Dec. 16, 1952, in Savannah, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late James Ivan and Jessie Haynes Eastin and had been a longtime area resident. Mrs. Mattox was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Trumann and was a former certified nurses assistant. Mrs. Mattox enjoyed reading her bible, playing games and visiting with her family and friends. Mrs. Mattox also loved her pets very much.
She is survived by two brothers, James Russell Eastin of Pensacola, Fla., and Joseph Edward Eastin of Trumann, Ark.; three sisters, Barbara Sue Devitt of Lakeland, Fla., Deborah Irwin of Trumann, Ark., and Nancy Irene Cromartie of Bartow, Fla. Mrs. Mattox also leaves six nieces, five nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at the First United Pentecostal Church in Trumann with Rev. Michael Kelso and Rev. Murry Ray officiating. The family has requested a private burial under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Ark.
