Mrs. JoAnn Elizabeth Rogers, 79, of Paragould, former longtime Leachville resident, passed away Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. She was born at Paragould to the late Ray and Hazel Davis Carter. Mrs. Rogers was a 1950 graduate of Paragould High School and was retired form the former Brown Shoe Company in Leachville. She was a member of the Leachville Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son, Robert (Bobby) Rogers of Leachville; her daughter, Terrie Neal Branch and husband Harry of Harrison; two brothers, Tim Carter of Rector and Phil Carter of Paragould; three sisters, Almeria Gonser of Paragould, Dorothy Campbell of Cicero, Ind., and Shirley Lamb of Rector; four grandchildren, Travis and Neal Rogers of Charleston, S.C., Tommy John McFarland of Seattle, Wash., and Meredith Draper of Rogers; and one great-grandchild, Shelby Draper of Rogers.
Graveside funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Leachville Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville. The family will receive visitors Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
