The Legendary Drifters have been hailed the best act of it genre on the music scene today, a spokesperson said. It reflects the entire Legendary Drifters presence in the music industry and weaves a blend of nostalgic magic with on stage excitement.
The Drifters musical history from 1959 to 1964 is only part of the story. The Drifters story actually began with their first Atlantic record, Money Honey, in 1953, and from then on The Drifters would set musical trends for the world to follow. The Drifters presented their million selling hit, There Goes My Baby, followed by the two sided smash hits, Dance With Me and True Love.
January 1960 saw The Drifters hit the charts with the fantastic sounds of This Magic Moment. In the summer of the same year, everyone was humming and singing the song that would become The Drifters second million selling hit, Save the Last Dance for Me. More hits followed with Some Kind of Wonderful and Up on the Roof followed by the crowd-exciting On Broadway. The group's fourth million selling hit was the all time favorite and classic hit, Under the Boardwalk.
Since this time the group is headed by the sweet tenor voice of Hollywood Logan, who had the pleasure of singing with the original Drifters for many years. Logan has traveled all over the world singing these timeless hits.
