BI Veterans Park will soon have a third monument of names displayed

The new monument to be added to the Buffalo Island Veteran's Park in Leachville has arrived. The committee hopes to have engraving complete and the monument placed at the park before Veteran's Day 2011.

Committee member Barbara Lloyd reminded area residents they are still taking veterans' names to be placed on the monument at the initial $35 cost until Sept. 30.

"We are excited to have the monument in," Lloyd said. "Forms are available at Manila City Hall, Leachville City Hall, Monette City Hall, Heritage Bank in Leachville and Heritage Bank in Caraway."

This is a good way to honor those who have served their country.

Lloyd invites everyone to visit the Veteran's Park located on Main Street, Leachville.
