Watermelon was served at the Leachville festival.

Chairman Paula Bowen expressed her appreciation to everyone for their participation. Booths, games, food and entertainment kept visitors busy throughout the day.

Doug Masters provided music at the bandstand along with live music by Southern Skies Band.

A Watermelon Pageant was held Friday night at the Melody Theater.

A horseshoe pitching tournament was also held.

Leachville Mayor Sheila Spurlock served watermelon and a variety of food was served at different booths. An Army recruiting tent with representatives from the Jonesboro Army Recruiting Office were on hand to distribute information and talk to visitors.
