Manila School Board filled positions and approved several transfers at the July meeting held Thursday, July 21.
Following the approval of the minutes and review of the financial report, school board members approved the athletic handbook. According to Pam Castor, superintendent, the athletic handbook approved is the same as last year.
The board approved a revised stipend list to reflect the changes in the 2011-2012 school year.
The board approved the request of early graduation from Shelby Wallace with the stipulation all requirements and deadlines have to be met.
The board considered personnel matters voting on the transfers of several employees. Aimee McLaughlin will move from kindergarten to pre-kindergarten.
Mary Ann Davidson will move from pre-kindergarten to kindergarten.
Ginger Baltimore, kindergarten teacher, will move to the position of Literacy Coach. Danny Helms will transfer from ISS to teach in Middle School.
Rachel Smithson will be the elementary secretary and Angel Parks will transfer to high school ISS.
Sarah Perkins was hired to teach kindergarten and Matthew Collier will teach high school Social Studies.
Coaches for the spring sports are Bill Taylor and John Deaton, softball; Mike Bridges, golf; and Steven Milligan and Trent Floyd, baseball.
