Mr. Ronald Junior Maggard, 59, of Jonesboro, died Monday, July 18, 2011 at NEA Baptist Hospital. Mr. Maggard was born on Dec. 2, 1951, in Ava, Mo., to the late Woodrow and Gertie Maggard. Mr. Maggard worked for Hedger Brothers Concrete Products for many years and he loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with his family.
Survivors include three sons, Joey Butler and wife Nancy of Paragould, Ark., Ronald Ray Maggard and wife Becky of Trumann, Ark., and David Maggard and wife Stacy, also of Trumann; two daughters, Billie Jean Watkins and husband Bobby of Marmaduke, Ark., and Letha Tongusi and husband Joseph of Jonesboro, Ark.; three brothers, Russell Maggard of Missouri, Donald Lee Maggard of Black Rock, Ark., and Leonard Maggard of Trumann, Ark.; 26 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Mr. Maggard was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Rex Maggard and Johnny Maggard; and one sister, Phyliss Williams.
Graveside service was 10 a.m. Thursday, July 21, at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Bono, Ark., with the Rev. David Adams officiating.
The family received visitors at the cemetery from 9 a.m. until service time on Thursday under the direction of Faith Funeral Service, Manila, Ark.
