Raymond Junior Saylors

Mr. Raymond Junior Saylors, 65, of Marmaduke, Ark., died on Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. Mr. Saylors was born Jan. 11, 1946, in Delaplaine, Ark., to the late Raymond "Willy" and Littie Levena Saylors. Mr. Saylors was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marmaduke, enjoyed gardening, fishing, and raising goats and cattle.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Carol Saylors of the home; two sons, Vince Saylors and wife Rachel of Imboden, Ark., and Gerad Saylors of Marmaduke, Ark.; two brothers, Melvin Saylors of Ravenden, Ark., and Jim Saylors of Paragould, Ark.; four sisters, Mildred Young of Ravenden, Ark., Earlene Williams, Carolyn Mason, and Deborah Wheeler all of Paragould; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and a host of other family and friends.

Mr. Saylors was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Everett Saylors, and one grandchild, Tyler Ray Saylors.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 27, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Marmaduke with Rev. Chad Robinson officiating with interment at Pirtle Cemetery.

The family received visitors at the church on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila.

Pallbearers were Tony Saylors, Donnie Clayton, Terry Hill, Randall Hooton, Danny Dodd, David Fender, Tristian Payne, and Keith Saylors.
