Robert Daniel Fry, 58, of Monette passed away Sunday, June 19, 2011, at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born Sept. 1, 1952, in Monette to the late Jesse and Virgie Fry. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Robert owned and operated Fry Trucking and raised horses and cattle and enjoyed hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Fry; a daughter and her husband, Stephanie and Brandon Decker of Monette; two sons, Robert Daniel Fry Jr. of Little Rock and Blaine Fry of Sherwood; three brothers, James Jeffries of Denham Springs, La., Marvin Fry of Monette and Larry Fry of Lake City; three sisters, Mary Ann Shaver of Lake City, Patricia Gardner of Paragould and Martha Patterson of Jonesboro; two grandchildren, Jaxton Decker and Nash Decker.
A celebration of his life was held 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, at the Monette First Baptist Church with Eddie Dunigan officiating. Burial was at Pine Log Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.
Honored to serve as pallbearers were Marvin Fry Sr., Larry Fry, Joe Shaver, Terry Edwards, Daniel Fry, Jesse Fry, Marvin Fry Jr., and James Jeffries.
