Lillian Eva Walker, age 90, of Meridian, Calif., formerly of northeast Arkansas areas including, Gosnell, West Memphis and Manila, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at the Willows Care Center in Willows, Calif. Born October 7, 1920, in the Brown Spur Community near Manila, she was the daughter of the late James Wesley and Myrtle May Robertson Vinson and was a 1939 graduate of Manila High School. She was the widow of Mr. Aubrey Walker and had been a northeast Arkansas resident for most of her life. Following the death of her mother, she lived with her aunt and uncle, Homer and Marie Robertson. She was a retired licensed practical nurse and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Manila. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

Survivors include her son, Jimmy Walker of Yuba City, Calif.; two grandchildren, Mary Beth Nienhaus of Ashland, Oregon, Cynthia Walker of Meridian, California; 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Doyne Robertson officiating. Burial followed at 3 p.m. in the Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion. The family will receive visitors Tuesday evening, June 14, from 6-8 at the funeral home.
