Caraway's Fourth of July Celebration set for Saturday

Caraway will hold its annual 65th Fourth of July Celebration on Saturday, July 2, with prizes and entertainment throughout the day. The parade will begin at 9 a.m. with activities following at the bandstand.

A new activity will be held in the ball park this year with a demolition derby at 7 p.m. on Saturday night. On Friday night, July 1, there will be quad races, lawn mower races and a four wheeler pull.

The carnival will arrive in Caraway on Wednesday, July 29, and run through July 2.

Prizes will be given away on Saturday night following the demolition derby.

The grand finale will be the fireworks display which will be held on Saturday night.

"We have a lot of things planned," Bernard Berry with the Lions Club said. "We hope everyone will come out and join us for a hometown celebration."
