Deloris Fleetwood

Deloris Fleetwood, 81, of Monette passed away Monday, April 25, 2011, at St. Bernard Medical Center in Jonesboro.

She was born Oct. 9, 1929, in Monette to the late Jinks and Abbie Cornish. She was a retired beautician and homemaker. Mrs. Deloris was a member of the Mt. Pleasant General Baptist Church and loved to work in her garden and yard.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Jeremiah Cater of Woodburg, Tenn., and Jessica Gray of Lakeland, Fla.; a sister, Emma Fleeman of Red Oak, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Fleetwood; two daughters, Sandra Gray and Vickey Fleetwood; six brothers and two sisters.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Monette Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Visitation will be Thursday from noon until 1 p.m. at the Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.
