Tanner Smith's film shown at festival

The 10th annual Ozark Foothills Film Festival was held March 21-27, in Batesville.

Tanner Smith, a 2010 graduate of Manila High School who is currently attending Arkansas Northeastern College in Blytheville, was an attending artist who had a film shown at the festival.

Tanner's film Second Chance was screened on Saturday, March 26, as a part of the Arkansas Showcase.

Tanner attended the screening and answered questions about his filmmaking along with other filmmakers who had films shown at that screening. He also took part in a meet and greet with other attending filmmakers before the screening.

Tanner also entered the Ozark Foothills Film Festival screen writing competition and attended the reception and awards ceremony for that event.

He took part in a screenwriter's workshop conducted by screenwriter and author Gordy Hoffman.

Tanner writes a monthly movie review for Eye on Independence magazine, and also contributes movie reviews, blogs and articles to the youth division of the Ozark Foothills Film Festival--T-Tauri on their website www.ttauri/galaxy.org.
