Manila Lions Club welcomed four new members on Wednesday, April 19. Three of the four new members made Manila Lion history by being the first female Lions to be a part of the Manila Chapter.

The new members are Dovie Davis, Mattie Douglas, Ann Jaco, and Frank Kirby. Lion President Ty Presson conducted business and welcomed the new members.

Lions Tom Jaco and Leroy Douglas presented pins to the new members. Mr. Kirby was presented a Lion vest.

The group discussed several possible events for the Lions Club to host. The annual activities sponsored by the group are later in the year and they discussed hosting activities during the spring and early summer months.

The Manlila Lions meet every Wednesday at noon at the Depot Center.
