Mary V. Grant

Mary V. Grant, age 89, of Leachville, died Sunday, April 3, 2011, at the Monette Manor Nursing Center. Born at Cash she was the daughter of the late Walter and Cora Lamb and had lived most of her life in Monette. She was the widow of Mr. Virgil Grant and had been a Leachville resident for over 30 years. She was of the Assembly of God Faith.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, two daughters, two daughters-in-law, and a great-great-grandson.

Survivors include four sons, Virgil Grant and his wife, Terry of Potomac, Ill., John Grant of Potomac, Ill., Quincy Grant and his wife, Linda of Dickinson, Texas, Jerry Grant and his wife, Rita of Leachville; three daughters, Cora Flaningam and her husband, Pete of Mahomet, Ill., Dianne Mungia and her husband, Ralph of Marion, Texas, Belinda Allen and her husband, B. A. of Leachville. She also leaves 27 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with B.A. Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Monette Cemetery.
