Mary Sue Wilson, 72, of Leachville, died Sunday, March 27, 2011, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. Born in the Childress Community she was the daughter of the late Jack Howell and had been a lifelong area resident. She was a 1956 graduate of Childress High School and had attended Ouachita Baptist College in Arkadelphia. She was a retired dietary manager for Monette Manor Nursing Center and was a member of Second Baptist Church in Leachville.
She is survived by a son, David Sevier of Elkins, Ark.; three daughters, Rebecca Clowers of Leachville, Danette Thomas of Concord, and Jana Evans of Leachville; her mother, Boyce Braden Howell of Monette; a brother, Dickie Howell of Jonesboro; three sisters, Jacquelyn Howell, Janis Chambers and Nancy Stewart, all of Monette; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, at the Leachville Cemetery with Rev. Lee Davis officiating. Burial was under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville.
